Setting up the RN400-x2EX external sensor

Thank you for purchasing the DEKIST RN400 product.

The RN400 unit consists of two upper models, the H2 and T2, and various sub-models that provide specialized monitoring. Among these, the sub-model name 'EX' is for the external temperature sensor. 2 channelsprovides, and the external sensor is PT100T/CK typesupport.

The external sensor of the lower model is T/CK typeis set and shipped. Therefore, it is necessary to check the sensor type of the channel to be used and set the correct settings.

Once you have decided on the sub model and sensor type that suits your purpose of use, activate the device AP mode, find the 'External Temperature Probe Type' item in the setting window displayed on your smartphone or PC screen, and select the one you want to use among the two sensor types. Then, connect the UA-Calibrator software to the installed PC with a USB 5pin cable to set detailed settings such as sensitivity.

RN400 x2 EX detail

1. Selecting a sensor on the RN400-x2 EX smartphone

For the sensor type of the RN400-x2 EX sub-model, the corresponding sensor can be selected from a PC or smartphone using the device AP mode.

After searching for the WIFI AP on the WIFI setting screen of the smartphone, select “_RN400-400” checked on the RN7481 device screen.

Launch the web browser app on your smartphone.

Enter “192.168.1.1” in the address bar of your web browser and connect.

If the connection is made correctly, the 'RADIONODE RN400 Data Logger' setting screen as shown in the left figure appears on the smartphone.

MEASUREMENTSelect the tab.

Click the Save button to the right of SENSOR SETUP to save the settings, and check again whether the selected sensor type has been changed.

If the settings are correct, press the Reboot button to reboot the device.

2. Connect RN400 to PC with USB Cable

1. Check the product's power status and enter USB CALIBRATION.

4. Connection – Plug the prepared Micro USB cable into the Micro 5pin USB holder located on the left side of the terminal block of the internal board, connect it to the PC, and run the UA-Calibrator program on the PC.

3. Setting up RN400-x2 EX external sensor using UA-Calibrator

1. External temperature sensor is TC-K and PT100 type. The sensor type is set to TC-K type by default at the factory. In case of using PT100 type, you need to change the sensor type and set the details.
