Connecting the RN400-T2CS sensor wiring

Thank you for purchasing the DEKIST RN400 T2CS product.

RN400-T2CS the model is 4-20mA, 0-20mA It converts the signal transmitted through the wire connected to the external sensor into a digital value and transmits the measurement data to the wireless LAN.

The 4-20mA output sensor (Transmitter) basically consists of a line that supplies 24VDC and a line that receives data corresponding to the 4-20mA current range. It can also be converted to a 250-1 VDC signal using a 5 ohm resistor (1-5V input method guide).

RN400-T2CS model supports 2-wire or 3-wire type. The signal line of the external sensor is inserted and connected to the ( + ) terminal of the channel. Please refer to the 4-20mA transmitter manufacturer's datasheet to be used.

Precautions!
If the transmitter is connected to the RN400 product in an incorrect way, product damage or breakdown may occur. Therefore, refer to the data sheet of the transmitter before connecting it to the RN400 product.

1. 3-wire Transmitter

  • This is a description of how to connect the 3-wire transmitter and RN400 product.
  • Usually, in the case of a transmitter that is output in 3-wire type, power input + (Plus)Terminal and - (minus)It is composed of a terminal and a 3-wire terminal through which current signals are output.
  • Since the product wiring method may vary depending on the transmitter to be used, please check the data sheet of the transmitter.

○ In case of using transmitter power with RN400 adapter (24VDC)

If the transmitter uses a power supply of around 24V, it can be used in combination with the power adapter of the RN400 product.

1. Transmitter power input as shown below + (Plus), - (minus)Connect the terminal to the power input terminal of the RN400 product.

2.Transmitter's 4-20mA output terminal and RN400's 4-20mA input + (Plus)Connect the terminals to each other.

3.RN400 product 4-20mA - (minus)Power input of terminal and RN400 - (minus)Connect the terminals to each other.

2. 2-wire Transmitter

  • This is the information on how to use when the transmitter is output in 2-wire system.
  • Usually, in the case of a transmitter that is output in 2-wire type, power input + (Plus)Terminal and
4-20mA Print -(minus) It consists of terminals.
  • How to use the product may vary depending on the transmitter you want to use.

○ In case of using transmitter power with RN400 adapter (24VDC)

Only the transmitter used within 24V can be mixed with the power adapter of the RN400 product.

1. Transmitter power input as shown below + (Plus)Power input of terminal and adapter of RN400 product + (Plus)Connect the terminals to each other.

2.Transmitter's 4-20mA output -(minus) 400-4mA input of terminal and RN20 product + (Plus) Connect the terminals to each other.

3.RN400 product's 4-20mA output -(minus)Terminal and power input of RN400 product -(minus)Connect the terminals to each other.

○ When using the transmitter power separately

This is the case when the Transmitter uses more than 24V power or uses around 24V, but applies a separate power.

1. Transmitter power input as shown below + (Plus)Terminal and SMPS power + (Plus)Connect the terminals to each other.

2.Transmitter's 4-20mA output -(minus)400-2mA input of terminal and RN4-T20CS + (Plus)Connect the terminals to each other.
