RN400 initialization and firmware update

Thank you for purchasing the DEKIST RN400 product.

This article is about initialization and update necessary when using the product.

1. RN400 Factory Reset

Product initialization RN400to return the software to its factory default state.

(Because all settings are initialized, please save the settings separately. Network settings will not be initialized from the firmware version after April 2020.)

RN400, C-Type 1.5V Battery x 2

12V Adapter (optional)

1-1. How to reset from network normal state

  1. Check the power - Check that the power is supplied stably.
  2. Button Check – Check the (W) button and (S) button located on the front side.
  3. Activation of factory reset mode – After pressing (W) button, press (S) button repeatedly 4 times to activate '4.FACTORY DEFAULT' menu on the product display.
  4. Run – Press the (W) button to reboot and reset to factory defaults.
    * Factory default SSID is DEKIST.

1-2. How to initialize in a network setting error state

1. Check the power supply – Check the connection between the type C battery and the external DC power supply.

2. Power OFF – located on the right side of the front panel (Power On/Off) Power off the system by pressing the button.

3. Reboot – When the product is powered off (S) + (W) + (Power On/Off) button simultaneously. Please refer to the picture below.

4. Enter factory reset mode – S : FACTORY-DEFAULT , W : DISPLAY-SENSORS are displayed on RN400 OLED. At this time (S) buttonPress and hold to enter S:FACTORY-DEFAULT.

5. Execution – RN400 product reboots and factory reset proceeds.
* Factory default SSID is DEKIST.


2. Update the RN400 firmware

Firmware needs to be updated to properly use the latest various functions.

준비물

Firmware file, Micro SD card, 12V DC Adapter

The firmware file must be requested separately from the manufacturer Dequist. Please contact us at master@dekist.com.

1. Card Check – Micro SD card supports only FAT32 file system. Other file systems are not supported.

2. Path setting – Create a folder named 'img' on the micro SD card.

3. File Save – Save the firmware update file provided by the manufacturer (Dekist) in the created folder. The file name is the same as the model name. For example, h2ps.bin , t2ex.bin .

4. Insert Card - Turn off the device and insert the Micro SD card into the holder as shown below.

Insert the SD card into the holder and press lightly until you hear a 'click' sound.

5. Power OFF – Connect the 12V DC adapter and turn off the system power with type C batteries inserted. Press and hold the P button for 3 seconds to enter power off mode.

6. Reboot – Turn on the power by pressing the P button while holding down the S and W buttons at the same time. Please refer to the photo below.

7. Check the screen – The following texts will appear on the screen in order. ([ ] means the name of the repository.)

8. Done – The firmware update is complete when the device reboots.
