RS17 output from RN485X

Thank you for purchasing the DEKIST RN17x.

RN17x supports Modbus TCP/IP. Therefore, you can connect to the MODBUS TCP/IP network and take the measured data values from the server. In addition, by connecting the converter to the network, measurement data can be received from devices using RS485 interface such as PC, PLC, recorder, etc.

The settings for using Modbus TCP/IP inside RN17x are as follows. “5.MODBUS TCP Setup.” in the console menu Please refer to the contents.

- under -

  • Data in “HOLDING REGISTER” is updated in real time.
  • Supported formats are 4 BYTE FLOATING POINT and 2 BYTE INTEGER, and read only.
  • 2 In case of BYTE INTEGER format, the number after the decimal point is ignored and only integer values are passed. Transaction ID, Protocol ID, and Unit ID in the header are ignored internally.
  • “3” is used as the function code, and the data does not matter what value is entered.
