How to update RN172WC-D firmware

Thank you for purchasing DEKIST RN17WC-D product.

The RN17WC-D model supports USB communication. Therefore, communication with various devices is possible through the USB port.

How to update firmware

materials: Firmware file, USB cable

The firmware file is sent to Dekist Co., Ltd. Request separatelyYou must. master@dekist.com Please contact us.
The firmware file will be sent compressed, so please make sure to uncompress it before using it.

1. Connect RN172WC-D to the computer using the A to A type cable included when purchasing the product.

2. Press the reset button located on the back of the device twice in succession to enter update mode.

3. The RN172(D) drive will be searched in Devices and Drives on My PC.

4. Easily copy/paste the latest firmware file provided by our company by dragging and dropping it from the file explorer on your PC to the RN172(D:) drive.

[The firmware update will proceed, and the device will automatically reboot.]

Precautions!

After the firmware update has been performed, initialization will not occur. For smooth use, we recommend that you first initialize before use.

How to initialize settings

Enter Console Menu

1. After accessing the website, download “Terminal Program” and “USB Driver” and install them on your PC. “RadioNodeTerm”Run it.
2. USB cableConnect RN172 to your PC using . At this time, if the power line is connected, connect the USB cable and reboot by pressing the Reset button on the back of the product.
3. Run the “RadioNodeTerm” program, and the window background is greenWhen it changes to , it is in a usable state.
4. by keyboard “radionode114”Enter to enter the Console menu.

2. Enter “2” and press Enter to enter the System Setup Menu.

I. Type “i” and press Enter to run Set Factory Default.

E. Type “e” and press Enter to run Reset Holding Samples.

This completes the factory reset and data deletion.
